At the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference earlier in July, Microsoft announced the forthcoming release of Dynamics 365, the long awaited business solution (working title of Project Madeira). Microsoft Dynamics 365 combines ERP and CRM into a single cloud offering with specific apps for each key business process – such as Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Operations, Marketing etc.
Power BI, Powerapps, Microsoft Flow and Microsoft Azure composite applications will also be provided by Microsoft partners such as Prodware, to extend the functionality for built-in business insights, workflow and data interrogation.
An agile, cost effective and easy to use solution, Dynamics 365 apps can be deployed independently. Organisations pay for what they need at that time, or the applications can work seamlessly together, supporting business growth as relevant.
Because it is a cloud based business solution, users buy apps and licences based on their role which provides organisations with flexibility to match Dynamics 365 with the structure of their company and how they work.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a game-changer in Microsoft’s digital transformation strategy.
As Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella explained: “In a world of infinite information and computing and finite attention and time, we aim to help everyone get more out of every moment and change the nature of digital work within organizations of all sizes… Each company is attempting to digitally transform to achieve the same four outcomes – to engage customers, empower employees, optimize operations and transform products.”
When will Dynamics 365 be available?
Dynamics 365 as an integrated cloud business solution has made a splash in the media and will be available later this year; for current Microsoft Dynamics CRM online and AX 7 cloud customers it will be a seamless transition for implementation. The Enterprise edition will be released in Autumn 2016 with the Business edition released the same time in North America, and phased in other countries after that date. Prodware understands it will be available in the UK in Spring 2017.
We will be regularly blogging about Microsoft Dynamics 365 in the run up to the release. For further information about cloud business applications please contact Prodware.
